Schools are a cornerstone of any community, and the key to a bright future. Wa-Nee Community Schools is a high-performing school system with three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. These facilities are supported by 375+ teachers and other staff members united in their dedication to providing a quality education to Nappanee’s young people.

Marching Band

Wa-Nee Schools is recognized across the state for its strong academic, extracurricular and athletic programs that provide a wealth of learning opportunities for its students. Our own Northwood High School was recently given the Indiana Chamber of Commerce “Best Buy Schools” distinction for quality education with conscientious use of taxpayer dollars. In all, Elkhart County ranks among Indiana’s top ten in sending students on to higher education – an option emphasized at Wa-Nee Schools.

Reading at School

Access to technology is also a focus at Wa-Nee Community Schools; every school has two fully-equipped computer labs, and each classroom has access to computer and data resources through an integrated information networking system.
