Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Nappanee is a non-profit youth development agency providing programs for children from ages 6-18. The mission of the Club is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The Boys & Girls Club is committed to helping young people develop the skills and behaviors necessary to leading productive and enjoyable lives. The Nappanee Club occupies 19,000 square feet in the former Central School on North Main Street. Today, Club membership numbers approximately 500 children, ages 6 through 18, with nearly 130 attending programs and activities each day.

Family Christian Development Center

Family Christian Development Center is committed to seeing lives transformed in the Wa-Nee school district - addressing the issues of people and families in need. Assistance is provided through a food pantry and help with utilities and rent. Clients are referred to agencies in Elkhart county and local churches. Free pre-school classes are provided for four-year-olds through the Head Start program. As an affordable housing agency, FCDC assists low-income families by providing rehabilitation to owner-occupied housing and building new homes at affordable costs. In addition, they sponsor "Christmas Jubilee," which gets toys collected in collaboration with "Toys-4-Tots" to local, needy children at Christmas.
